2021

December 28: Doctor Degree Achievement

Mr. Hiroyuki KONDA got Doctor Degree. We celebrated the 25th doctor degree holder from Nakamura Laboratory.

December 27: Winter Joint Presentations with Kato Lab and Iryo Lab

Joint mid-term presentations were held with Kato Lab and Iryo Lab. Doctor course students, master course students and B4 students presented and discussed their research framework and current progress.

November 26: Professor Nakamura's 60th birthday party

We celebrated Professor Nakamura's 60th birthday.
Lab members threw a birthday party for him at lab. A lot of alumni attended the party on site and online.We sang a birthday song and shared birthday cakes.

Wish Prof. Nakamura good health and good mood.

November 15: Final Defence and Public Hearing of a Doctoral Dissertation

Mr. Hiroyuki KONDA presented his doctoral dissertation in public hearing. Guests from outside the university also atended the public hearing. Results about quality of service measurement in intercity motorway basic segments considering car-following conditions were presented. The title of his dissertation is listed on this page.

September 28: Graduation Ceremony

Mr. Yonas Minalu EMAGNU got Doctor Degree. We celebrated the 24th doctor degree holder from Nakamura Laboratory.

September 27-29: International Doctoral Seminar (online)

The 17th International Doctoral Seminar (IDS) was held with institutes of traffic and transport of four universities: Technische Universität Darmstadt (Germany), Nagoya University (Japan), Tongji University (China), and Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (India). We discussed the research topics of all participants online intensively, and enjoyed the social events prepared by labs from each univerisity.

September 21: Summer Joint Presentations with Kato Lab and Iryo Lab

Joint mid-term presentations were held with Kato Lab and Iryo Lab. D3, D1, M2, M1 and B4 students presented and discussed their research framework and current progress.

September 12-14: 14th EASTS International Virtual Conference (online)

The Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS) 14th International Virtual Conference was held online. From our lab,  Ms. Gao(Technical assistant), Mr. Zhou(Alumnus), Ms. Bai(D3) and Ms. Wang(M1) made presentations. The titles of their presentations are listed on this page

August 10-11: JSTE Conference (online)

The Japan Society of Traffic Engineers (JSTE) 41st Annual meeting was held online. From our lab, Prof. Nakamura, Asst. Profs. Kakimoto and Zhang,  Research Associate Sekihara and an alumuni Mr. Nishigaki made presentations. The titles of their presentations are listed on this page

August 4: Final Defence and Public Hearing of a Doctoral Dissertation

Mr. Yonas Minalu EMAGNU presented his doctoral dissertation in public hearing. Guests from outside the university also atended the public hearing. July 29: Master Thesis Presentations

The final presentations of master course students were held by the Department of Civil Engineering, Nagoya University. From our lab, M2 students Mr. Zhixian Tang and Mr. Sijin Zhu made presentations on their research results. The titles of their theses are listed on this page.

July 2: Joint Seminar with the University of Tokyo (online)

A Joint Seminar (4th TOMEI-STER) was held online by our laboratory and the laboratory of Professor Oguchi of the University of Tokyo. This time, master's and PhD students from Nagoya University and the University of Tokyo reported on their research progress and actively exchanged opinions about their work.

June 7: Graduation Ceremony

Mr. Yuji KAKIMOTO (Assistant professor) got Doctor Degree. We celebrated the 22nd doctors from Nakamura Laboratory.

June 5-6: JSCE 63th IP Conference (online)

The 63th Conference on Infrastructure Planning and Management was held by the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE). From our laboratory, Asst. Prof. Kakimoto, Ms. Kako(OG) and Ms. Wang(M1) made presentations on their research work and had discussions with other participants. The titles of their papers are listed on this page.

April 16: Final Defence and Public Hearing of a Doctoral Dissertation

Mr.Kakimoto presented his doctoral dissertation in on-line and face-to-face public hearing. Many guests inside and outside the university kindly came to attend the public hearing. Many latest results about highway planning methodology in Japan were presented. The title of his dissertation is listed on this page.


March 25: Graduation certificate awarding (Spring)

A graduation certificate awarding was held in Nagoya University from Prof. Nakamura. M2 student - Ms. Gao, Ms. Kako, Ms. Liu, Mr. Nishigaki and Mr. Zhou received their Master's degree, and B4 student - Mr. Inamoto received his Bachelor's degree.
