2023

December 27: We held a joint research progress presentation meeting with Kato Laboratory and Iryo Laboratory. D3, D2, M2 and B4 students presented and discussed their research frameworks and analysis results.


November 24-26:Infrastructure Planning Conference@Tokyo Metropolitan University

The 68th Infrastructure Planning Conference (Autumn, 2023)  was held at Tokyo Metropolitan University. From our laboratory, Ms. Zhang(Lecturer),and Ms. Wang,(D2), presented their research papers and conducted discussions.The titles of the paper list on this page.

November 04: Celebration for Koji Suzuki.

Professor at Nagoya Institute of Technology We celebrated the promotion of Professor Koji Suzuki, first professor at the Nakamura Laboratory, with 35 participants including alumni, alumni association members and current students, as well as congratulatory messages from abroad who were unable to attend the event.

September 27: Doctor Degree Achievement

Mr. Toshihiro SEKIHARA received Doctor Degree,Ms. Gu received the Master degree. We celebrated the 26th Doctor degree holder from Nakamura Laboratory.

September 11: Summer Joint Research Presentation Meeting

Joint research progress presentation was held with Kato lab and Iryo lab. Total 14 students (M2 and B4) presented and discussed their research frameworks and analysis results.

September 3-5: Summer training camp @Fukui

This is the first time after four years that the laboratory has organized a summer training camp.We enjoyed the history and culture of Fukui, and had a great time making barbecue, playing games and etc.The framework and progress of the students' research was also discussed with the faculty.

August 8-9: 43rd Research and Presentation on Traffic Engineering @Nihon University

The 43rd Research and Presentation Conference on Traffic Engineering was held at Nihon University. Professor Nakamura and Mr. Inamoto(OB) presented and discussed their research in the conference. The titles of the paper list on this page.


Presentation of student research results

July 28:Final Defence and Public Hearing of a Doctoral Dissertation

Mr. Toshihiro SEKIHARA presented his doctoral dissertation in public hearing. The title of the presented paper is "A Study on the Evaluation Methodology of Functional Hierarchy of Road Networks". Guests from outside the university also attended the public hearing.


July 27:  Master's Thesis Presentation(Fall)

The final presentations of master course students were held by the Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Nagoya University. From  our lab,  M2 student Ms.Gu Xinyi made presentation on her research results.

July 17-21: 16th World Congress of Transport Research (WCTR) @Montreal, Canada

The 16th World Conference on Transport Research was held in Montreal, Canada. From our laboratory, Prof. Nakamura presented the Joint SS of SIG-C4 and International Association of Traffic and Safety Sciences (IATSS) "International Comparison of Traffic Safety Culture Culture" and Joint SS of WCTRS SIG-C2 and Japan Society of Traffic Engineers (JSTE) "Shrinking trend of highway capacity?". Ms. Wang Yifei(D1) also gave a presentation of her Master's thesis research results. For the students, it was the first time to attend an international conference held overseas, and they had a very meaningful time interacting with a variety of researchers and experts in the field. July 6: Lecture by Mr. Yasuhiro Nonaka, Road Planning.

In "Civil Engineering Integrated Project A" of the Graduate School of Civil Infrastructure Engineering, Professor Nakamura served as host and invited Mr. Yasuhiro Nonaka, Managing Director of Road Planning Co. He gave a lecture titled "Road Traffic Data - Its Transition and Future Prospects.

March 27: Graduation Ceremony and Graduation PartySpring

A gradustion ceremony was held in Nagoya University. Mr. Inamoto (M2) received his Master's degrees, and Ms. Hattori (B4) recevied her Bachelor's degree. A graduation party was held in the evenning, for the firtst time in four years.
